What are we doing wrong? No luck finding a dog owner.

We had great hopes a few weeks ago when we thought we found an owner who was willing to help us with our first doggy hookup. Only to have our hopes dashed by yet another no show ghost at the first meet. We were going to meet the lucky pup and take him for a walk in a wooded park. No sex, just check compatibility of him with Samantha and see if they were a good match, as well as the owner and us as a couple. He set the time and city, we picked the park. We arrived at the location and crickets. No call, no show and he must have deleted all of his online connections immediately. Vanished. We are now back on the search for another try.

Well we are trying here after not having any luck any where else. Mainly for this very reason, we were afraid of scammers and creeps. We have been careful ourselves and done as much research as possible on our end. Just wondering if we are going about things the wrong way. So far the people here have been great! Super helpful and honest. Keep it up ZV!

Your first mistake was HOOKUP. No real owner perpetuates his animals for the sake of pleasure of another. Get your shit together.
What do you call it then. Sorry if my vocabulary isn't correct. We are for an owner who is willing to help us and guide us on our journey. What would that be called?

Listen, if you’re just looking for sexual encounter with an animal you are already going at it wrong. Can you find such a person to allow that? Sure, they are many compared to the 1% of us who fallow some strict lines pertaining to our animals. They tend to be the shady bunch generally in for their own benefit. Getting to know someone with a solid moral foundation is both hard to find and difficult to sway without what you would call trustworthy. But it’s worth more than a thousand. That is if you have a moral compass to begin with.

I agree with you that the dog should be viewed as an emotional partner above all else

Two months is not long enough to find or figure out who is and who isnt genuine. Sorry to say it, but 90 percent of these nits will play a game til they actually have to put up or shut up....then they pull fade.

Or worse, they will set up a meet, believing they will do it, and wet their pants reaching for the doorbell, or pulling into a parking lot. There are a ton of tips in the how to section....read them then read again and then read some more. Your biggest asset in this will be patience. Get to know the person, without expectation. You'll get there. OR, get a pup, raise him right as a good companion....and see how he is once he's mature. If nothing else, you get a great friend out of the search.

Sorry if we offended you Bloodwolf
Dont get too shirty, bud or buddette....Two months? No way its long enough...Hookups for THIS are begging for a jail term. There are cops who delight in sending tips to cops in other jurisdictions, or to the local humane societies. Slow is better than fast. and sassing people who know of what they speak is a GREAT way to prove YOUR value.

Everyone, please understand. We truly mean no offense. We are just asking for guidance. Your input is wonderful. Thank you. We are new, yes. We never tried to hide that fact. We own a wonderful dog. He is a great companion and we love him like our child. He is a rescue and by far the best dog either of us have ever owned. We love animals in general. Sadly our pup was snipped before we got him and he can not perform. He tries but he just isn't able to. We wish no harm to anyone. We did not join here with the intent of bringing any discord. We are just trying to find like minded people to help us on our journey.

@YooperandSamantha my advice is to be patient, then be extra patient, then be extra, extra patient. Understand that this lifestyle is not exactly something that anyone is willing to risk their entire livelihood over. Best case scenario, you make a wonder friend... worse case scenario, you get outed publicly and your life is pretty much over, instantly.

Not only this but there's also the fear of being part of a criminal sting and being caught up in entrapment. Strangers on the internet are exactly that, "strangers", and as much as we want to connect with others, there's also the possibility that we will connect with "bad" people or "wrong" people or even law enforcement people.

Take your time, be extra careful, and it may pan out. Good luck otherwise.

Sad that ha

Sad that happened. Gives real owners a bad name. I get the same thing with people who want my horse. Days to months of talking, then they disappear.

No true owner will expose himself like that to a random user who joined the forum a few months ago, and is desperately looking for his first "doggy hookup", that smells like cops from miles away.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
It can take you years to earn someone's trust.

I told you I'm coming, and that's a promise. Come to the email
I was not referring to you. I have had many people over the years sound like they were real and close by. Then communication stops. Luckily I have found over 2 dozen real people I have met, and talked to another dozen or 2 thru E-mail or by phone. But 50 - 100 of either scammers, men pretending to be women, those who backed out or ??? No shows. Finding REAL People is definitely worth it though. Just wish more of them lived close by or could come here more often. Most are from out of State or 3 -6 hours in travel time.

I'm sorry you had to go through this experience. But I can only agree with the previous speakers. It takes time, mutual trust and sympathy on both sides. And I, as a dog owner, can tell you that there are many fakes who are not interested in a real meeting. Just writing.
I wish you the best of luck in your search for a suitable dog. ?

It took me several years of careful searching before I found an owner - and then it wasn't through this site either. People who own animals are very careful about exposing themselves and their pets to anyone for obvious reasons, and the slightest suspicion of anything not absolutely perfect about the contact, or about anything else that you have posted elsewhere for that matter, will be enough to frighten someone away. If you've only been on the site a couple of months, finding someone who will trust you enough in that period of time will be most unlikely.

I know how you feel as I have the same issue from the opposite side. I am an owner of a GS and have had many chats with "women" that say they are interested and after months of texting they ghost when it comes time meet.

I know I am replying to an old message but I hope you found a compatible owner.
