I guess my curiosity and question is why most men think we always have to have sex with our dog/s? It's a lifestyle not a one-time thing for many of us single mum's.

I dont believe that most men think that single women who own dogs have sex with their dog or should do it still an taboo topic if you are not talking with an very openminded sexual person.
But I have seen that the zoo-community is becoming bigger and that more women who are into swinging and trying out new things dont reject the idea of having sex with dogs or even farm animals like horses.
