Most virus based diseases don't transfer between species. For the ones that can, like rabies, vaccinate your pets.

Bacterial infections can, but as long as your dog is healthy and you are healthy, you'll both be fine. If you get something, antibiotics still work.

There are some parasitic infections that can transfer.
