Tongue showing

Hello folks,

You can welcome, my new family member the standard training is fun with her she picks up everything very quickly. However, now I wanna teach her something silly to do like showing the tongue. Has anyone been able to teach a dog to show the tongue? If yes how did you do it? No youtube manuals for that.

With training it is usually easier to start with something the animal already knows or does and shape the new behavior from there. I have not trained my dog to present his tongue, but I managed to do other things this way.

For the tongue I would start by offering her something to lick but worse than the treats you give (do not use your dick though, training for sex is wrong on just about every possible level). Reward the moment she sticks out the tongue and add some verbal command to it. Do this until she knows it with the object to lick and then replace it with something less tasty and then gradually use the command without anything to lick.

What you are describing is licking lips/nose. I saw one guide for that, but how to explain/train to stick the tongue out and keep ot out ?

I think you could use this at least to begin with. But obviously it would need some experimentation.
