If so, how did they do it and what worked well and what didn't work so well?

This has been discussed many times before, the two shouldn't overlap.
Non-humans don't understand a safeword and won't stop, putting a non-human into bondage should not happen.

If a person has an interest in such, best to keep it to fantasy; furry feral art and the like.

Not a good idea. Generally a knot can hurt you a horse can kill you. You do not want to be immobilized in these cases.

It can definitely seem appealing to combine two things that you like, but mint and orange juice prove that it's not always a good idea.

Devil's Advocate: not being able to pull away until the knot goes down is a bondage-like experience in and of itself.

Not a good idea. Generally a knot can hurt you a horse can kill you. You do not want to be immobilized in these cases.

I "could" see it working if you have another person there as kind of a handler. Able to help if needed, but yeah, i wouldn't wholly recommend this either

Its definitely something that we shouldn't mix together. Part of BDSM is having communication with your partner. I'm not saying that we don't have the ability to communicate sexually with our partners but they do not have the capacity to communicate these types of sexual activities. They also most likely don't have any interest in said activities.
