Well I would say someone who is actually been with an animal...but I dont want to offend ... Its harder for some , I was lucky , but also not so lucky as others ...I do believe some people arent really here for the right reasons and I dont like when people belittle others in threads xx

Well my animal partners always come first ...their hapiness and pleasure is most important ...those are my standards ...I was only trying to put up a happy post
 
Imo you don't have to have been with an animal to be a true zoo. Being a true zoo is all about mentality towards the animals. Ask yourself "Would you go hungry for a day, so your animal could eat?". It's also respect for the animal and it's capacity to have a say, including the required care.
 
I always find a bit funny to see how many of you simply seem to deny the sexual aspect of being a zoo.
Even a good pet owner treats his animals better than a person (some of them treat them as their sons xD) but that doesn't make him a zoo... The difference stays in the emotional and yes, sexual attachment that a zoo has for his "pet", that in his eyes becomes something more than a simple animal...
Anyway... I'm glad that knowing that there are others zoo like you, out there in the world, makes you feel better ?

Emotionally I believe being a zoo is that unending love for an animal...but as a partner ...partner leads to sex and a stronger connection and as its an animal connection its more primeval , love for animals is partner not pet

We're not denying the sexual nature of the relationship. But the sexual nature exists regardless of whether it's a deep emotional relationship, or not. To me being a true zoo is embodying a set of ideals as a whole, not just the sex, not just the emotion. Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I figured sex was obvious.

Nothing to be sorry of. I have always the impression that when I read some messages there's a sort of shame into stating clearly that being a zoo revolves also around sex. Ideals are a thing that many animals activists or defenders can share with us, but there is a substantial difference when it comes to the sexual aspect...
And I'm saying this even if I have never had sex with my furry partner ? love is also platonic, I guess ?

No shame is the way to go...I suppose with the original post that was the idea , to just show love for everything us ZOOS are xx

It sure can be! My love for my boy was there from the second I got him at 8-weeks, and grew for nearly 2 years, platonic just like that, before he become sexually mature, and after changed nothing, I loved him the same.

I've lost my boy almost a year ago. Still hurts when I remember him, but I hope that his life with me was truly fulfilling for him...

I'm regretting saying this ..cause i now realise before i had got my first dog ...i would have been hurt by what i said
 
This site and its predecessors give that knowledge to ppl they not alone, which is priceless in my eyes, some like myself dont really care if what i like and do is considered abhorent and "insert all the bad words you ever heared about sex" if i know noone is hurt or lied to i an good. I live with my brother and have a dog amongst other things were happy and noone else matters. But a lot of ppl feel alone and ashamed not just because there zoo side a lot of my RL zoo friends feel alone and i am there for them, anyone who comes here and gets one kind word even if indirectly reading a comment not adressed to him then this community is a good thing. The fact that loving you animal partner is so important here and abuse is not tolerated makes me feel happy. Anyone who abuses hurt or tortures animals isnt a human being and should be beaten shot and burned with the rest of the treash. I work as a voluntier in a dog shelter close to me, we take in dogs who have been rescued from the street and sometimes from abusive or neglecting owners you cannot imagine the state of some these dogs when they get to us , we need that places like this take a hard line against abuse in porn so i am glad the cleanup thread exists.
And maybe just maybe some who are against this get here and see we arent the evil were belived might be naive on my part but if even on person chainges there stance then thats a victory , ofc this doesent mean anyone should advertise this place dont get me wrong.

Why can’t you just be happy with what you like? The idea of telling the world what you like to have sex with simultaneously repulses and intrigues me.
 
For me, there is no need to sing it from the rooftops, but I get the "being lonely" bit: you have to be on guard 24/7 not to put yourself or your SO in danger. Knowing that you could sing it from the rooftops (read: just be open about it if a chat goes towards relationships and dating) without consequences would be a huge burden of my shoulders.
