Telegram in the zoo community

I’m new to all these different kinds of media but I have discovered telegram. I’m curious to know or the ways members of the zoo community communicate with each other? Do we use telegram? If so how do we find each other for chats on there? It’s basically the Wild West of communicating but the problem is finding and engaging in discussion. I suppose that’s the point of this site. Anyway I was wondering if there is a sub community of zoo peps on tele.

After ZV, the second most common place where they gather is Telegram.
You can only get into those groups by inviting a friend, if you don't have your own dog, you won't be allowed in most places. First you have to get acquainted with Telegram faces, then the group admin will decide. These are hidden groups, you can't search for them. Public groups are bad, full of doxxing idiots and get deleted often.
Most zoos start here on ZV, then switch to Telegram and leave ZV.

Telegram addresses can only be shared in private messages.

Hi. Welcome. Yeah, navigating all the platforms can be confusing. Here on ZV if you go to General Discussion and User Chat / Zooville Rules / Security and Posting it will outline ZV’s rules regarding tele. Outside of that information, what MashaSobaka said above is also a point. You’ve gotta network but if doing so here you need to do so according to ZV’s rules. Otherwise your messages containing certain information will be deleted and I’m assuming you could be subject to being banned. I’m not an admin or moderator here. I’m just sharing what I’ve learned here.

Why are telegram addresses only shared in private messages? Is it to prevent raids / doxing on them or because telegram isn't a safe app to use?

1. Posting e-mail / Telegram / Session / Matrix(Element) / Discord / KiK / Wickr / Whatsapp or any other chat app username is ONLY allowed inside a Zooville group or on your About profile page. (Note: If your IM name/handle is in your About profile page, you are NOT ALLOWED to advertise that it is there on the open forum.)

  • Posting those in any other area of the forum is not allowed (not even inside a video or image).
  • Not even in the Bestiality Personal Ads & Meetup.
  • Not even in your signature.
This is for your own safety, only groups and the About page are not visible to unregistered guests.
All other postings will be removed, and the offending user will be given a warning infraction.
In all other areas have members contact you through PM instead.
You can then decide if you want to share those details with them. (Posting on their profile does not count as a private message.)
Phone numbers / Emails / Social media handles, are not allowed to be posted on the public forum.
 
Since posting any contact info or links to groups or rooms is allowed in the Zooville groups. ZV groups already have hundreds of invite links and telegram/session/kik/discord... usernames you can try to contact.
Use that.
Even though id adds literally 0 protection from the same problems those things have in the open forum.
All anyone needs to do is about 3 more clicks. Since some of those groups are public.
And when they are not public, it just takes about a day to get in them anyway.

To join some groups you need at least 10 posts and have PMs enabled (also explained in the rules)

In other cases have people send you a private message and exchange groups this way.
