Tech Help? Videos Won't Play!

Hi All - hoping someone may be able to help me here. I used to have an Android, recently switched to iPhone. Never had any issues with videos on this site on the old phone, now if videos are posted as 'Attachments' they won't play. Tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and several other lesser known browsers, and all had the same results. Hoping my pictures load with the post. If the video is posted, as shown in the picture, once I click on it, it opens a new tab, for a split second it shows the video player, then gives me the video can't play image. Help?!?

Unfortunately, the videos will not play in iPhone. You can try downloading them and opening them in VLC, although I havent tried that in a while since I usually use my Mac to browse this site anyway

I can't even get to the option to download, unless there's another way to download that I'm not aware of (I only know about clicking the bottom right corner of the video player).

I only made the switch about 2 weeks ago. This is the first problem I'm encountering, and it's a major problem! It may very well drive me back to Android!

Try this. When you’re on the page, click on the share button. Then, click on “save to files”. You should be able to choose a location to save and use the Files app to play it. If Files app won‘t play it, download VLC player and save videos there

Haven’t tested myself yet, but probably the most useful reply here. I use IPhone as well and have this same issue with watching videos. Most of the time I just pray that people choose to upload mp4 files.
