Forgive me if this is the wrong place to make suggestions or provide feedback, or if this has been suggested and denied before. But this site is such a great resource for people, and could be even greater if users had the simple ability to filter threads, or even specific forums, to see posts with media only.
Thread filter option examples:
- All posts
- Text only
- Contains media
Benefits:
1. Users would be able to search for things much easier instead of clicking & scrolling through dozens of threads and pages.
2. This would reduce the amount of redundant posts in the “Requests” forum.
3. This would reduce the amount of reposts.
4. This would alleviate server congestion, as the search feature could be more accurate, and less users would be tediously clicking through long threads.
5. Better user/community retention as people would be less likely to give up their searches and look elsewhere.
There are a lot of thread comments that are just “so hot” or “more?”, and being able to navigate without loading entire pages of this would be a net positive. This will not diminish the quality nor frequency of discussions in the community here, as platforms flourish more when people can navigate them easier.
Some days I would like to know if a video exists of something without creating a whole new thread to ask about it. Other days I just want to find specific content of cute stories or sexy animals faster.
My constructive criticism is also based on the fact that the #1 critique I have heard over the years about ZV is its difficult navigation.
