Someone hands you money

Klondike bar

Tourist
You're walking down the street when suddenly a stranger stops you and says "here take this briefcase everything in it is yours now" and disappears into the crowd of people before you can ask them anything

You open it when you're somewhere private to find it's loaded with items and cash valuing 2 million dollars

What do you do to help people with that money you were just handed?

First let's set a max value, 2 Million Dollars.
I would take roughly 25K, Keep that for myself, Doc Bills, Food, whatever to help me survive.
I would spend roughly 10K on friends or family that might need help with medical stuff or food.
Then the rest I would split up and Donate ether to Charities or to people that need it, Like for example, Let's say I enjoy the content of someone on this site, I would send them roughly 200$ as an appreciation, Not a You need the help, More of a I really enjoy your content and would love to see more.

Turn it over to the police. If it is not claimed, you get it anyway. If it is stolen, then it is returned to its rightful owner.
And get a receipt. Otherwise itll be helping the FOP....

If you get the cash back, donate some to a good cause or two....like those guys pulling up landmines around the World, Doctors without Borders, and the like. Find something noteworthy thats trying to actually help people. DON'T give it to HSUS....that boob doesnt need a new Ferrari.

Help people lol. I'd rather build something like this, just with the walls removed so it's open plan

I would build a Zoo farm stay
Catering to all Zoo people and specialising in helping people with their first time experiences
In a safe calm invereiment with a wide species range.

A bit of a dream I have.

Make sensible investments into stocks on the stock market and use 60% of the dividends to donate to charities and help people set up their lives... Finding people who deserve help setting up a life would be the hardest part

This summarizes what you should do:

For 2 million$, in 100$ notes, you will need a few cases and a car to carry them. Sorry to ruin your fantasy, but you can not be handed a case with 2 million$, just because it is impossible to fit the money in.

They do say "You open it when you're somewhere private to find it's loaded with items and cash valuing 2 million dollars"

So 200,000 in cash and a few Bit coin on a flash drive and a small amount of gold bar to round it up to 2 million should work

Now that sounds more realistic.

There are a few ways to go through it, bitcoin ATM would be the easiest to clean the cash. The other way is to make an LLC for something you can out of your home. Wash the cash that way through "selling" things such as wooden cutlery. You'll lose some on taxes but whatever it's still a lot of free money. Then put all of it into the S&P 500 index. Lets say you get 1.25 million after everything. That's roughly 10% a year on 1.25 million which is $125,000 (minus more taxes) so lets call it an even $100,000 per year for doing nothing.

Edit: if it's already in bitcoin, you wouldn't have to clean that technically (I think). So that just goes right into the index fund.
