Should I be suspicious of this Knottybook site?

One of my friends sent me a link to a site called Knottybook, essentially a social media site for zoos, and said he joined it. I’m extremely skeptical, however. I’ve been told it has a “verified user” feature that requires ID and many people on there have face pics, both of which seriously raises some red flags for me. Does anybody know if this is a safe site or should we warn ZV users to avoid it?

Edit: He also signed up for a site called K9Lady. It apparently put his first name in a confirmation email when he never gave it his actual first name. Does anyone know about that site as well?

A clone of zoosbook? Maybe we could finally close down the personal ads section and let that part of the users move to that site. :D
Go ahead give them your ID. Nothing bad can happen when you connect your real identity to evidence you are into stuff that is illegal almost everywhere.
 
Lol the site's security isn't even set up properly, so you can search and browse profiles, post, groups without even logging in :ROFLMAO:

At the bottom of the sign up page, scroll to the bottom and click "About". At the top of the About page, there's a search bar which is fully functional and will take you to the Advanced Search page for all the profiles and posts

This website is just some generic social media software, and I'm not really clued up but it looks like there's javascript calling back to Facebook...so yeah, be very suspicious
 
Absolutly suspicious site. Looks like someone just took 5 minutes to set it up. Profiles,especially woman profiles, look fake,like always. Man showing there faces or dicks is nothing special,just ugly and needy as always. 99% of them do not have a pet themselves anyways,so they dont care about their security,they have nothing to lose.

Whoever verifies there is just absolutly stupid. Also i never understood why men want to show as a verified man. I believe them they are male,no need to verify that. You will probably find no verified woman there. Like everywhere. Unless the Owner of the site sets up some fake verified female profiles to gain more members.

However,i would stay away from it.Everyone can view everything on the site. I am not registered but can see everything.

Also the sites sub name is "womans best friend". It wouldnt wonder me if the owner just wants to gain access to female user data and then stalk them. That happened before.

You would like to think that somebody "with over 24 years experience" in programming wouldn't come across this amateurish. It makes me doubt the rest of the site and its security, and yes, even without registering and logging on, you can look for members. No idea if it's just naive, a honeypot, or well-intended, but I wouldn't even touch it with a barge pole.
 
Oh yea, just what I want, dick pic heaven the first you sign up, and its not even dog dicks. Though did someone make an announcement notice seeking a hook up? Like wtf.
I guess its not to soon to say I was also working on one, but not for porn and not for hook ups. zetaspace.org

First "thank you" for the interesting statement.

A question which unavoidable pops up after reading the quoted statement is:
Where will it's relations lay - instead of zoophilia - if the name is actually "Knottybook"? Knotting carpets or tying ropes? :unsure: At least officially.
 
You know, Folks....many of these nitwits are not going to catch the sarcasm, or the scorn.....Some of you just put a stamp of approval on going to a site that is obviously up to no good. It doesn't matter if you " see stupid people, and they're stupid, and they dont even know they're stupid, but they're stupid".....this World's biggest Zoophilia site everyone's so damn proud of, is just as capable of doing harm to the unsuspecting as a site that's a honeypot, or a trap. If those knuckleheads come here looking for straight advice, and you give them bad advice, they are not necessarily capable of knowing it. And if they go to these places and get arrested and/ or their critters taken away or euthanized, because a mod, for instance, went sarky, what good is this place? I hear a lot of bullshit about how rotten BF was....but even they had to sleep at night. Happy Holiday.

Most often the "established" zoos or those who consider thenselves so, tend to enter the "ourselves alone" clan where such things aimed towards those who do not meet the "clan" criteria is OK. Hell it is not themselves gettning nailed, so what does it matter - for them? As for the mod you had in mind, it escapes my understanding how/why this person was ever considered capable of being a mod here.

Yea there's absolutely no way I'd give anyone in this type of community my legal information. I'm way to paranoid. Remember as far as the public is concerned at least in my area zoos are the exact same as pedophiles and we all know the type of treatment they get so do yourself and your pets a favor and stay away from that

Yeeeaahh.... Still suspicious as hell. Going to have a "verified" member section? Complete with files on their ID? If so. They deserve whatever you have in store for them just so they learn their lesson. Otherwise,
