Sharing a crate with your companion?

My partner and I were talking and we got an idea to get a crate that can fit 2 dogs. But instead of 2 dogs it would be one of the dogs and one of us, and they would spend the night there making love.
I found a 4.5 ft outdoor kennel that looks great to keep indoors, we'd put blankets and pillows with some lights inside it to make it comfortable and cozy.
Is this a good idea? Has anyone else though of this or something similar?
We also want to get a leash connector to keep us more close to our companions.

While i love the idea of u being tethered and playing with ur dog, if he/she is "crate trained" u should have another crate as a "safe place" for the dog to sleep, and the bigger one as a "play create". It's important he has a place to go to "escape/relax" too.

I’ve never crated my dogs. They had the option but the bed was too good for them. Even more when it stormed out.
