Sex while being a furry

I completely understand that the two can be connected but are not. However theres nothing wrong with being attracted to the touch and look of fur. But being extremely new to the group I wanted some input to avoid embarassment on my behalf, if you'd be so kind.

- Men wearing female fursuits and acting as a woman. Is this looked down on? Even if its just to get laid?

- How open are you about being a furry?

- Is it a lifestyle or is it a kink? Can it be one and not the other? Can it be both?

- The whole furpile thing... is that just fantasy?

- How do you feel about the LGBTQ+ Community? I've seen how the furry community is shunned and treated poorly (even without the zoofilia).

-Where do I get a suit?

From what I've witnessed this group is very supportive and uplifiting to its members. Hope I haven't offended anyone and I apologize in advance if these questions did.

This is primarily a zoo site. So who cares. :D
- How open are you about being a furry?
Do not out yourself.
- Is it a lifestyle or is it a kink? Can it be one and not the other? Can it be both?
It is a sexual orientation for about 4% of people. Kink for the rest.
- The whole furpile thing... is that just fantasy?
A sweaty and smelly one. :D
How do you feel about the LGBTQ+ Community?
Bunch of idiots only inclusive as long as it suits them.
Where do I get a suit?
Buy or build one.

Sry can't answer your questions, I'm a old zoo. But just now looking at the furry thing. I've never tried it, so now looking .lol

Youre a treasure lmao. Any recommendations on where to buy one?
Clockworkcreature. Very expensive, very nice. :D
Or various individuals make suits on commission. You would have a better chance finding one on a furry forum.

Just my opinion on the subject

- Men wearing female fursuits and acting as a woman. Is this looked down on? Even if its just to get laid?
Definitely not the weirdest thing in the fandom. Not even close

- How open are you about being a furry?
Most of my friends know, some of my family does. Furry artwork and writing make me some money aside from the day job so if I can be more open with someone they basically find out. I don't advertise it to everyone I meet though.

- Is it a lifestyle or is it a kink? Can it be one and not the other? Can it be both?
It's pretty much both for me. Me and my husband almost never fuck without at least my suit on, or at least my head. But my irl friends are furries, and a lot of stuff outside the bedroom is themed around the fantasy.

- The whole furpile thing... is that just fantasy?
I might be out of the loop on this one

- How do you feel about the LGBTQ+ Community? I've seen how the furry community is shunned and treated poorly (even without the zoofilia).
Many furs are inthe LGBT thing, but it's all politics, and politics are the ugly side of the fandom. I stay out of it.

-Where do I get a suit?
They're expensive, and take a long time to build. Search for a reputable suit maker and get reviews. You can try to make your own which is very possible even with no skills to start. Just takes a lot of effort.

- Men wearing female fursuits and acting as a woman. Is this looked down on? Even if its just to get laid?
Not at all.
- How open are you about being a furry?
I don't admit to it, or live openly as furry, but I wouldn't deny it either.
- Is it a lifestyle or is it a kink? Can it be one and not the other? Can it be both?
It depends on what you want to get out of it. Are you exploring your identity and sexuality, or are you trying to hook up anonymously? It can easily be both.
- The whole furpile thing... is that just fantasy?
It is not. I've been on top and under furpiles. They're nice!
- How do you feel about the LGBTQ+ Community? I've seen how the furry community is shunned and treated poorly (even without the zoofilia).
Furry has always been an offshoot of the LGBTQ+ community. It started as a LGBT friendly offshoot from sci-fi an art conventions. Furries have differing views on zoophilia, mainly negative, but to be against anything LGBTQIA+ goes against everything furry.
-Where do I get a suit?
Just ask for fursuit quotes. And save your money. It's not finding one that's hard, it's getting into queue and paying for it that's hard. Or make your own- it's not that hard, but better left to the professionals.

Furry is extremely diverse. Generally speaking, furries are open and uplifting to other furries, but they can quickly turn on you. The invention of social media has helped make it worse. Just remember- furries spent decades fighting the "furry people are zoophiles!" idea from the mainstream crowd, so they often fight back against zoophiles just to save face. Be careful, cautious, and polite. You'll make good friends, even long-lasting friendships, if you respect others.

You seem like nothing but pleasant to be around. Hope to meet more people like you or even you eventually. Thank you!

can i ask why you feel this way? I'm queer and i have several queer friends who aren't zoo or furries that are still my friends. (personal not group as a whole yes i know) Are you thinking that zoo's should be included in the LGBT+ umbrella and believe that it's noninclusive because they don't? It just seems, for lack of a better word, overly harsh. I dont wish to get into it with a staff member i'm not attacking you personally just the statement. ( and sorry for teh dead post =p )

can i ask why you feel this way?
What is the majority opinion on zoophiles in the LGBT+ community?
Do they have no issues with this sexual orientation or would you rather not mention that outside of you friend group?
Are your friends openly zoo in the community with no issues at all? Or is the community only inclusive towards the "normal" sexual orientations?

Majority opinion will largely fall within teh age group for teh community at large shockingly enough.

In response to teh other questions i think teh best response would be as a "movement" that is still struggling for lots of things and are trying to slowly change teh minds of those that can help fix it, being publicly "inclusive" of a segment of the population that is illegal in most(nearly all) places will not help. Does that suck yes, is it without logic and reason no. is it without compassion no. There are fights that are worth fighting that can be won and fights that are worth fighting but can't be won yet if ever.
I think my larger "issue" with "only inclusive as long as it suits them." is that it's very much teh talking point of people that have been attacking teh lgbt+ community with like teh "super straight orientation" and just sits wrong with me.
Would it be nice to more publicly accepted sure, should i logically expect that, i dont think so.

Thanks for replying :)

Nothing to be looked down upon at all!!

- How open are you about being a furry?
100% open to others ive met online i know are zoo or furry. Love dirty talking and sharing spicy pics with my fellows. Would never admit or discuss it with people ive met otherwise.

- Is it a lifestyle or is it a kink? Can it be one and not the other? Can it be both?
Its a kinky and if you're lucky and find a partner/community to be with and do it then you damn well better make it your lifestyle!

- The whole furpile thing... is that just fantasy?
Yeah sounds like fantasy to me haha

- How do you feel about the LGBTQ+ Community? I've seen how the furry community is shunned and treated poorly (even without the zoofilia).
We are shunned and its not fair but i dont need anyones validation i know i like what i like love is everywhere

-Where do I get a suit?
You have to save up a couple grand esp if you want a good one then get on a makers waiting list, whole process can take years. So pay your respects to those with fursuits

Fellow zoofur here! Love the questions. Some advice:

- Do not out yourself as a zoofur in a furry community. Unlike the zoo community which welcomes, most furry groups will burn you to the ground and do everything they can to out you publicly for zoo. There is a zoofur group on ZV you can search for. Plenty of us out there! Also, don't be afraid to discuss zoo stuff with other furries, just be 100% on who you are talking to and remember ears are always out there at furcons or anthrocons.

- Never be ashamed of what you want to wear for your fursona or what you want out of it. Own that shit and you will be welcomed with open arms!

- Be careful of commissioning a suit. With furry culture becoming more adopted, there are plenty of assholes that want to make a quick buck and will usually ghost you.

-The LGBTG+ is like most have said, only inclusive if it fits the need of the movement...

- Men wearing female fursuits and acting as a woman. Is this looked down on? Even if its just to get laid?
- No big deal / celebrated in some circles of furry
- How open are you about being a furry?
- In general life no.. open about zoo in furry no never directly but just be accepting and vague and that is best.
- Is it a lifestyle or is it a kink? Can it be one and not the other? Can it be both?
- Sure it can be both, it can be much less also.. Just porn for some people.
- The whole furpile thing... is that just fantasy?
- Sorta / sorta not? I suppose it depends on the room party but not in public.
- How do you feel about the LGBTQ+ Community? I've seen how the furry community is shunned and treated poorly (even without the zoofilia).
- There are groups that want to gatekeep but yeah
-Where do I get a suit?
- Id recommend making your own, some basic sewing is easy to learn learn to shave fur and use a premade base. Commissioning one is really tricky and very expensive for what it is..
