Lurker
Heya! I don't know why on earth I chose to do this on christmas day of all days.. (happy christmas haha)
The name is Zeph and I'm a french feral furry with an interest in animal and human psychology! Not as a professional though!
First things first, I've taken all the appropriate steps!
Zeph is not my true fandom name, it's a reference to a DDR song by a composer I really like (TAG).
I've come to this website to research and ask questions about zoophilia/zoosexuality, as nobody else seems willing to discuss/debate this subject with me in the select few places I talk about this in, they lack the knowledge or make the typical association that studying x = being linked to x (furries, especially the younger ones, love to do that a lot, and it's harder to know who's what age on the internet nowadays). I also know a bunch of people irl who are zoos, but I don't want to approach them with barebones knowledge and make a fool of myself so I thought I'd come here first.
I don't believe I'm a zoo myself as I don't have any interest in real life animals romantically or sexually whatsoever, that being said I'm attracted to the idea of being turned into an animal, which logically by definition make me an "auto-zoophile"? Could that be considered a form of zoophilia? It's based on wikipedia's list of paraphilias and other sources (too few though..). I discovered the term recently and it really intrigued me. As a furry, it made me question again the ties between nsfw furry art and zoophilia/zoosexuality.
About a year and a half ago, I was prompted to watch the documentaries Earthlings and Dominion back to back, which eventually led to me becoming an ethical vegan and today a street activist (AV). Before that point, I believed that farmed animals were different to wild and domesticated animals and were "programmed" to act like robots and don't feel emotions such as pain or fear ; seeing the footage shattered that false belief completely and prompted me to question everything I think I know about our world and society.
As a fan of human psychology, I started looking into animal intelligence and behaviors. I tried discussing it with other furries but most of them view vegans as extremists, which makes absolutely 0 sense since we should both be against animal abuse.. Eventually I found myself falling down a second rabbit hole which led me to questionning what zoophilia really is. I realized that the subject is a lot more complicated than it appears, and here I am, hello!
Please bare in mind that I might make stupid mistakes like mixing up definitions or words, please don't hold a grudge against me if this happens, just correct me and be kind. I wanna learn and become knowledgeable about zoophilia, so that if the subject comes up in my future conversations, I can share what I've learned with others, in a sneaky way of course, because of the whole association thing people do... Anyway! I have a TON of questions !
