Recommendations for a first dog?

I'm looking at getting a pet for multiple reasons, and I've decided on a dog because I'd like to try for intimacy.

That being said, I'm already taking into account other factors about breeds, but is there anything I should know going into making the decision as far as intimacy goes?

Are different breeds any different when it comes to sex, or is it a matter of individual differences?

A breed that fits in your everyday life is a good start.
If you are outdoors and in the forest a lot, a hunting or more physically active breed might be good.
Like cross country skiing? Check out the dog sledding breeds
Et cetera.

Size wise, a dog that is slightly higher than you when you are "on the floor" is a good fit for that if you wanted to see if you were attracted to each other in that way and wanted to take the relationship to a more intimate place.
