Reading Nancy Friday made me feel normal. Anyone else?

I found My Secret Garden early on in my sexuality and learned that fantasies were normal. The idea of being able to enjoy sex without the messyness of feelings and embarrassment was attractive to me. I could lay down and spread my ass cheeks and get rimmed as I jerked off and know one had to know. The only other person I know personally who is active, would be my younger sister. Not that it has ever been discussed or spoken of. My assumptions are based on the fact I caught her numerous times early on in comprimising positions with dogs and she has always owned a un-nutred male dogs.
Unfortunately I have never been able to share my fantasies with any partner. My ex-wife knew a little about me liking to read about women getting licked by dogs but she was very prudish. The closest I had to a shared experience was getting licked from behind as I fucked a woman. I am not sure she was even aware of what was going on. Years ago I met a local woman on Beastforumn chat. We hit it off and we were supposed to meet but a health emergency came up and we lost contact. She had been playing with her pet's as long as me and she started letting her dogs lick her after reading a Nancy Friday book. She loved getting eaten out and explained to me that she would finger and get her female dog's off. Her big fantasy was to watch her bitch get fucked by a guy which at the time was a new one for me as I had no idea female dogs would enjoy sex.

Hm, interesting question! I read those around the age of 21. Did that make me feel more normal? Not necessarily.

They gave me a little bit of hope that more women would be into this than I first feared. Now 22 years later, I can tell you that I have not had much luck meeting women with a desire for this. I did meet 2 early on back then, but was not attracted to either of them, so I wouldn't take it too far in the zoo direction to hook them up with getting mounted.

In my 30's there were two that were on the fence, but I also wasn't sure it was right for them. So, here I go, staying single most (but not all) of my life. I'm not zoo active anymore, but still zoo at heart and in perspectives, but really would be more of a watcher and supporter in a relationship with a woman that desired this.

I've thought about buying Nancy Friday's books again for more encouragement, and to possibly be an ice breaker for discussions with women that I'm getting to know.

Was it only My Secret Garden that had the zoo fantasies in it? I think it was the first 2 of the 3 book series that had zoo fantasies. I think that I was less impressed with the 3rd book in the series, but I can't remember for sure.

I never liked that she encouraged readers in not acting upon their fantasies, but still letting the mind run, but.... I guess that also made the fantasies in her book more acceptable to be sold like that in regular book stores.

As an aside, one woman that I had a couple of dates with did admit to letting her female dog lick her fingers after she would finger herself, and she was very tempted to let that dog lick her vulva directly, but she just didn't feel ready to cross that line. When I was telling her about zoo stuff, she was a "maybe" about being with a male dog. I probably should have moved forward dating her, but it was a complex situation. We were both poly and had other partners. My partner didn't like her, but looking back, it was probably jealousy.

It was "Women on Top" that first introduced me to the subject!
I think that was the 2nd book in the series. Now that I have mention here of two titles having zoo fantasies, I'll go look at which ones are which in the series.

It appears that Friday based her works on write-in interviews.... They were well- written, and well-organized, but the prose was written for mass market titillation, not for the science review boards....Theyre enjoyable, but take them with a grain of salt.
