I have a 5 year old male that's about 60kg,quite a big dog,I can't for the life of me to get his knot out of its sheath,he's always interested and tries to mount me but can't really get his knot out and I don't want to hurt him or smth, I read somewhere that if he gets swollen in the sheath it's quite painful for him, I have seen him knotting my female dog some time ago,how would you advise me to go forward with this? I'm quite new to all of this

There's loads of great information worth reading through in the how-to's section, you should be able to find all the information you seek there.

I'll say though his sheath should stretch to accommodate his knot just fine, it wont hurt him but of course this isn't the ideal situation.

Thank you for the info

It takes a bit of practice to slip the sheath back at the right moment when the knot is not full yet.

knot fully forming in sheath happens a lot, often from non-sexual reasons like simple excitement. it generally doesn't hurt the dog (can be uncomfortable tho). trying to get it out if it forms inside is what can cause great pain, the opening is not that flexible.
