Not so much of a question but as a way to start a conversation. I’ve seen way too much zoo porn that lacks intimacy and basic respect for the partners in the video, I have a theory that this is from the fact it’s meant to be a sexual fantasy. Much like sex isn’t really like porn rarely is zoo sex like it is in the porn and that can lead to misconceptions about how zoo sex works and how to engage with it. This can get really nuanced so I want to talk about it with you guys on here.

That’s a great point, if it was more normalized perhaps people would know safe sex practices and actual animal abuse could be prevent with proper education.

Absolutely! I think that trying to normalize it would be amazing, I can see both sides of the argument, but I feel like animals suffer either way. Why should the people who actually take care of their animals have to worry about them being taken, and them jailed? We are taught there is no difference, and that is really traumatizing. Especially considering how vulnerable most of us are when we start figuring out this is our sexuality during puberty. I hated myself for so long and really had no reason to. While I see what others are saying, I think that keeping everything in the dark will do more harm than good over time, but the biggest problem is that the general public just does not want to listen about animal relationships in any manner. Eventually they will be confronted. I’ve admitted it to several people in my life, and I know I’ve changed some opinions. It doesn’t happen over night and I doubt it will in our lives. That doesn’t mean we can’t keep fighting in our own way. You can’t change the world, but you can make a dent.

Idk if I agree with the normalization part I think if it’s normalized there can be more education and study into the field so that it’s a more safe and loving environment for all parties. I think the assholes are just gonna be there all we can do is try to prevent that behavior and stigmatize actual abuse.

I really do agree, I think we need to get more studies done so we actually have data to show we aren’t doing anything wrong. Though with current populous views that seems impossible, as an artist I personally find it sad because I as many other artist will probably never be able to be recognized for our promotion of zoo through art because if you do you have to hint at it you can’t just show love between interspecies and expect people to understand.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that you can learn everything you need to know about zoo from porn. People don't learn about ordinary sexuality by watching porn either.
