I’m still pretty new here- naive to some things and certainly feeling skeptical of people. Someone is messaging me who apparently joined in 2019 but had 0 reaction score and 0 message score even though they have messaged me. This feels like a red flag but could there be a reasonable explanation? And how is the message score 0 when they are messaging me?

0 reaction score and 0 messages. For 4 years. The only good explanations I can think of is if someone made an account and then left the site for some years and then comes back to it. There could be other explanations. Such as having happened to know them from somewhere else and they somehow noticed the person is on the site when they have been watching but aren't confident enough to be solcial. The site did seem to be more public recently. So that may explain why the account is active again.

If it's not for those reasons then I don't know. All I can do is speculate. I can't read their mind. Why are you asking us when we don't have the answers?

I never discouraged anyone from asking questions. You assume incorrectly there. What I discouraged was using feelings over logic.

If you sent a message then you tried. If they haven't responded then they're either not checking in on the site or choose not to repond if they notice. Could be anti social maybe.

That doesn't have to translate into only caring about sex and not communication though. I like a good time too. But i do value communication.

I'd be more concerned if someone was going "I'm after fun". People that only care about fun and avoid hard topics aren't just dangerious. They're ignorant. You are never safe. You are always in danger. Just know it.

I handle problems well enough. But how do you think I learned in the first place? From silent observation. That's how. If everyone is banned from lurking then you're banning people because you're insecure about it.

Is it "wrong" to lurk? Or like porn? The fact is the only thing we know about them is that a message was sent and that they didn't reply.

Where is the proof they look at porn even? Could be reading comments. If people make snap judgements and assume incorrectly easily then it's a... I won't say good reason. Because lack of commnication isn't good. But it's understandable why people have social issues. A lot of people do.

Maybe they also have an irratinal fear of obligations when people think they have to respond. That's a common reason for stonewall abuse. And will destroy a relationship if not addressed btw.

There are too many autistic accounts here who are unable to ever seperate themselves from their "feels" because their heads are too deeply jammed up their own asses.
