Question about female scent and male dogs

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could help me find out if male dogs are attracted to the smell of human genitals? I have seen videos where dogs will lick women's vulvas but i think it could be that there was something put on that attracted the dog.

Will male dogs be sexually attracted to the smell of a human vulva? If so, is this attraction more or less than the smell of a dog in heat?

Does the attraction of male dogs to women change depending on what part of her cycle the women is in?

:) T

While I can't fully answer this question I do believe male dogs do pick up on when a woman is menstruating/in heat. Certain pheromones are released during that time and I think dogs (and other animals with a strong sense of smell) can pick up on that. I don't imagine it to be different from when a female dog/bitch is in her heat.

Edit: I think this thread might need to be moved, this is the porn section.

Bitches bleed right before their heat and an experienced male dog might learn to associate the two.

Any male can learn to associate anything with sex if he sees it enough times.

I observed that male dogs seem to be attracted to women genitals even if they are not condition that the smell means sex. Is it just "genital smell
they are looking for or is there something in the smell that tells them its for breeding?

The scent of a vagina is indeed enough to get a dog interested. He will probably look for that on his own (and take what he can get.)

However, when a woman is on her period/ovulating, her body releases pheromones and male dogs do also pick up on that. To them, it certainly can be a signal that it's time for her to be bred.

To answer your questions as simple as possible Perhaps this will help. A dog is attracted to all kinds of smells so the smell of your ass will of course cause them to sniff. They identify you by these smells too.

Most of what you see in doggie porn is the dog truly being attracted but remember these are trained animals so they already know these smells very well and are used to licking where they find these smells. Only in the case of an inexperienced dog have I ever heard of having to use something to make them lick, and even then I have only heard of it in cases where they were trying to get the dog to lick a man.

My dogs seem perfectly happy to lick for a short time but then they want to fuck and will be more interested in licking afterward then before they have mated. They are more interested when I am menstruating then at any other time but when I am ovulating they again sense something and seem more interested. Perhaps their stronger interest at the time of menstruation is related to their interest in bitches at their time of heat. Perhaps it is the smell of blood but as you know this is when the sire dog can impregnate the bitch whereas the human female can not be impregnated during her menstrual cycle. The male dog will again show his interests when the human female begins to ovulate this is around a week after the menstruation period has ended. I'm sure there is a different smell as this hormonal time occurs and the dog has a good enough sniffer that they can smell this.

Dogs will be attracted more to a bitch in heat then to a woman at anytime. My boys were tear the door down attracted to my girls when they would be in heat and it didn't matter if I was having my period or ovulating, their attraction was to the bitch dog in heat. I would say that their attraction was 10 times stronger to get to that bitch in heat then it has ever been toward me. That was probably because it was natural, or instinctive and I can see why that would cause them to be that much more interested.

I hope these answers give you a clear understanding.

It is necessary to distinguish between the concept of estrus in dogs, and menstruation in females. Despite some external manifestations that are similar at first glance, these are completely different processes in terms of the reproductive cycle.

Can male dogs detect the onset of menstruation in women? Detect certainly can, and very good.

However, direct sexual behavior by default is not stimulated by this mechanism, unlike the situation, with smell tags of female dogs.
I observed somewhat greater activity in connection with this process in women in some male dogs, but this is an element of behavior acquired in the process of life. This is not related to pheromonal stimulation of sexual behavior in canids. This is a common misconception.

Which, in turn, does not negate the fact that dogs of both sexes can perfectly detect and distinguish certain processes in the human body.
As an example, dogs of both sexes enthusiastically study the traces of human urination. But at the same time, this is not perceived as a territorial mark.

They are attracted to human vaginas as well, but I do agree that they may choose a bitch in heat over a female human. It's just natural instinct, this is what they are set up to.

However, my dog enjoys licking me until the point I get sore down there and it starts to really hurt. Sometimes he even gets hard from the smell, that's quite an interesting observation.
I can't really say alot about him reacting to me during my mestruation, since I suffer from a medical condition which makes me menstruate only 1 to 2 times a year. But when I did, my dog surely was attracted to it. He'd follow me around with his nose always poking me, he was obsessed with licking me and the blood. He also tend to be a little more aggressive on walks, making sure no other dog would come up to us and actively wanting to start fights with a tension that is quite different from normally. I don't let him do that, of course.

He couldn't care less about male genitalia tho.

There's a little more to it than just instinct. Dogs also imprint a lot of their ways and preferences. A dog raised from weaning by humans without contact with other dogs may prefer a human mate over a bitch. The scent will still drive him wild but he will seek a human to complete the mating. They can even take on human mannerisms and preferences within their limits.

And in fact, as my experience shows, often this happens with natural socialization. But of course, these are two big differences. A dog socialized by a person, in the absence of other dogs, from the age of about two weeks, almost invariably during puberty will address elements of sexual behavior to a person.
This is an acquired behavior that contains elements of imprinting.
In such animals, the odor mechanism of stimulation of reproduction is often significantly inhibited.
