Honestly, like Rex said, this is your proposal so you should really think by yourself instead of asking for advice, because it kinda ruins the whole process of thinking of something, its better if that's your idea in my opinion

I can't answer that for you, but it probably includes some use the corny inside pun "tying the knot" Lol
Like others have said, you should come up with how you do it yourself, but it never hurts to compile some ideas to build off of. I love catching people by surprise. Maybe hook it to the dogs leash while on a walk somewhere nice and see how long she takes to notice. Come up with something good for when she does tho

As you want to do it "the zoo way", and I have no idea what the zoo way would be when asking someone to marry you, maybe you should do it as animals that mates for life do it?
Among the birds it would be to show her how nicely dressed you are and give her a tour of the nest you have built while you do a little dance.
Beavers also mate for life, so give her a nice twig and tell her that you want to build a hut with her.
