A common Blue Jay....theses guys are related to crows and magpies....they eat Holly berries which would kill a lot of critters. When nesting, mamma holds so still when spotted that you can pick her up off the nest, count the eggs or chicks, and put her back on it. She's almost in a hypnotic state. As soon as shes back where she belongs, she gets animated, will fly off a few yards, then right back into the nest she goes.
