Thank-you for the notifier, Vixen. I can tell you these shorts get lots of attention. They can't be worn just anywhere, but they are a lot of fun! Notice they're an example of something important: always cut off that waistband.

These were the usual HoJo signs when I was a kid, and the pic is likely 1958 or 59....the bit at the top was Simple Simon and the Pieman, and the kids menu reiterated some of those rhymes....The place carried 28 flavors of ice cream (YEAR-ROUND!) when only Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry were available most places. The flavors like Coffee( for which I am still a fiend), Peach, rum raisin, butterscotch, even Fudge Ripple were seasonal and limited. I miss them.View attachment 587084
