Johnny Mack Brown, 1931

I don't often post pics of guys, but this is one of my all time favorite movies, and one of the best versions of Billy The Kid's story until the End, which had to be sympathetic to The Kid. It was shot in 1930, the first sound version, in New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. There were still people in those places who had known the Kid. Mrs Garrett was still alive in Lincoln, as were others of the actual principals. The scenery is authentic, and the sets and locations are good.
Billy is a bit of a thing for me. He broke Jail twice and rode the Capitans range to to Fort Stanton, and then to Fort Sumner. If only the little Chivito had kept riding.....I've ridden that run from Lincoln north to Sumner. It's lonesome, it can be cold even in July and it's hard on the Butt. But there's a lack of Feminine companionship. Lackanukie shouldnt be fatal, but curing it killed FB_IMG_1720399295082.jpgMr Bonney.
