I love Bettie Page too.
OK, she made many ‘pinups’. But she also made many photo, where she, like here, is just putting on her clothes or something else not ‘sexual’. But she almost always seemed to feel fine with it all. Nowadays many girl is photographed in positions that simply shows her sex 🙄
Bettie just showed herself.

I agree with you on the underwater environment. That is more noble than being taken apart for scrap. My first choice was what an optimistic investor wanted to do - converting her into a permanently docked hotel/apartments/restaurants. He wanted to dock her in NYC, but I think he came upon roadblocks to that.

UPDATE: At 4pm EST today, she was in open sea, approaching Virginia Beach. No stopping at the renowned shipyards there, however. Going straight to Mobile, Alabama.
