It IS interesting. I like seeing how things used to be done, and what they did it with.
Design function was almost identical with form in both the Art Deco and earlier Atr Nouveau Schools....In one Curves ruled( mmmhmmm) in the other, later one it was angles....but some of the basic appliances we use have been about for a long time....lol...They weren't always just a box with a slot or a hinge...

An egret, sunning over a nest in Cali. Note the whispy plumes....They were what got so many birds slaughtered in the late 1800s that it led to the creation of the US Fish And Wildlife Service....The first two Game Wardens served in The Florida Everglades.....until they were murdered in performance of their Duty. Why? Because these plumes sold for $32. per ounce....twice the price of Gold.

The Road to Angel Lake, in Wells, Nv. Its a small pothole lake at about 8500 feet. Fishable, but its frozen10 months out of 12 ....often as much as two feet thick. Straight out past the Crucifix is a portion of Great Basin National Park.

This is the Lake.....Its early in November, and the ice is already 6 inches or so thick... If there're any "Gilligan" fans out there.....Wells, Nv is named for the family of Dawn Wells, "Mary Ann"....she's gone, but her grandy is a friend of mine.
