We just picked this boy up a little over a month ago great dog owners had to relocate. He is still getting used to our home he is well behaved does not jump or even hump ? lol but after a bath I am slightly concerned about a spot on his scrotum. He does have a bit of black skin but just wondering if this is a bad sign? Wondering if others have seen this before we take him to the vet. He is just a loving family dog right now his last owner he knocked up her female when she went into heat and is now a father lol. Any help would be appreciated not looking to spend more than needed if this is something not to worry about. This is the first dog I got with my woman since the passing of my female husky after I told her about me (10 years into the relationship) which turned her very interested in this as she didn't even know such things are possible lol. This guy were taking it slow he has some fears and whatever he decides he wants is what happens.... Anyways thanks.

I personally see only one reason of concern: there seems to be an undescended testicle, unless I am incorrect. If I am correct, time to get neutered! Undescended testicles can cause cancer later on.

you can ask your vet about it if it concerns you... doesn't really look like anything to me. not all dogs have sacks fully covered in fur. part being darker could be just from the skin being more condensed there (similarly to how a human scrotum or foreskin is generally darker to the rest of the body)

Doesn't really look like anything of concern to me. My guy has a (much smaller) dark spot on his scrotum. Has never been an issue. If it was red or swollen then I'd definitely be concerned.

Any time youre concerned, see a vet. No one here is licensed to give medical or veterinary advice. It may be nothing, but arent you going to be more comfortable if you KNOW? Saving a few dollars but spending your time worrying is pretty silly.
