In my experience there are plenty of people into pet play who would never be zoo or do anything sexual with an animal. Their interest in pet play comes more from a craving for a simpler life and interaction with others, being taken care of, and loved like a pet. There are some people who would submit sexually to animals when in a pet role, but more as a way of acting out their animal role than from sexual attraction to the animal. There are some people who are both zoo and into pet play. A lot depends on the individual and it's not something anyone can really get good statistics about because zoo is too taboo for most people to talk about.

I wouldn't assume anyone into pet play is zoo, but if you're looking for people willing to have sex with animals, I think you'd get a higher percentage of people saying yes from pet play enthusiasts than from the general population. Most of them would still react negatively though, so you have to be careful who you ask.

For pet play I'm an owner/handler/top (not sure what the most common terminology is). I'm mainly looking for puppygirls for pet play, and they have to be genuinely into pet play and not just doing it to please me, or it just doesn't work for me.
