My Bernese is very talkative all the time. He’ll bark and squeal and whine about anything and especially when he sees other dogs he wants to meet. But it’s always fun seeing him at the park because he suddenly becomes so well behaved and stays quiet when walking up to new friends.
Anyone else notice this? I’ve always thought this seemed so backwards for him

Sounds like frustration, maybe you could look into self control training
