Other zoophiles

Maybe it’s just me but I feel like every time I meet/ chat with another zoo it always ends up being uncomfortable for me. most people are so fixated on the sex aspect witch is fine but personally I prefer to talk and get to know someone before I take that next step. sometimes I just wanna have a beer and relax not everything has to be sexual ya know what I mean?

The one problem with this is that most people will not want to give you too much other potentially dangerous information on a site like this. But sex is a very common topic for all people here and is quite safe to talk about.
What do you want them to talk about?

Maybe we are the only zoos in existence really? Whenever theres a genuine meet up its either a set up or a unstable individual. Either way seek protection if something happens.

Trust me, it's not that hard and comes naturally. For example: games, guns, politics if you are leaning the same way (otherwise you are just gonna fight, better not), economy, psychology, etc. And those are the topic I actually did talk about with others just last month. Sex usually comes up at the beginning and is dropped after like 10 sentences. Maybe this site has just that kind of "uncomfortable" user base.

I concur, might be us lol. PM’d a handful of people and doesn’t go far if a reply even. Talking and hanging out in person with people is good for the psyche and a much healthier alternative to practicing typing. I also have trouble understanding peoples fear of being setup for an innocent get together, the law has no authority over fantasy or viewing choices that I am aware of; just the physical act. Plus I doubt rando’s in the community are looking for a chance to dox anyone that gives them the opportunity.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt though I have met people in real life who made me regret beginning a conversation with them, and as a result sometimes takes a bit for my defenses to come down and me to relax. Maybe society is suffering the effects of internet and tv induced seclusion?

I've honestly had such a hard time meeting zoos that I click well with either online or in person. It either goes well online but then ends up horrible in person, or just awkward all around. I've only met one in person so far that shares my interest in working dogs/training like I do and it's so nice to be able to bounce training ideas off of eachother and just nerd out about dogs! Too bad he's so far away :(

I've only been in the forum a few days. have not talked to anyone one on one yet but not sure if I want to. it seems most of the groupings on here are really more interested in sex overall or zoo as a fetish rather than a deep connection and strong bond. i would never meet another proclaimed zoophile to be honest. too much traouble and fdanger and most likely a big let down. in real life pet owners are uneducated and unintentionally/intentionally abusive as it is. This forum has not been much different. ignoring basic biology and science and training. working dogs are a must and owning a working breed means working it not keeping it as a house pet or sex toy at your convenience

people that do not train their dogs at all or people that own working dogs and do not work them are the worst types of pet people. seems most zoo are like that as well, owning dogs just because they are cute and who cares about their needs as long as the human is content.

There are few things in this world I enjoy more than seeing the fruits of my time invested (it’s not work or labor) resonate in others and they show interest in training their dogs by asking me what I did and how I succeeded in raising dogs who are more well behaved than some people, and how they might as well. They rarely take my recommendations and put them into practice though. Which is disappointing because as a result neither dog nor owner get to fully appreciate the joy and satisfaction of being complacent and happy with each other all day every day no matter where they are or what they are doing. The one caveat being when people with no or minimal experience assume they as well can have a off leash malamute/husky and jump into conversation about going and finding a northern breed to train like mine. I have yet to figure out a polite way of breaking the news it most likely will not work for them. I appreciate so much more those who will stand there for a minute observing then approach me and ask how i have an off leash husky and why has it not run away yet. Road tripping across 25+ states she has never let me down.

I am by no means a pro, and my dogs do get the freedom to make decisions. My malamute/husky enjoys that figurative long leash while my German shepherd mix has no inclination to mimic her desire to act a fool. They are friends and companions though and I never expect perfection from anyone or anything. People never seize to amaze me in their inability to dumb down their thought process and connect with the dog they spend so much time with. Then they forget the dreams and ambitions they had not so long ago and the dog is the one to suffer.

A lot of that boils down to priorities and their view of life, goals, and purpose of time on earth be it ours or the animals, or they simply don’t know any better. I have trouble saying an owner of an untrained dog is the worst type of pet people. I will make the connection an undisciplined dog will result in some of the same sufferings an undisciplined person goes through though. They both result in missed opportunities and experiences; one caveat the dog will not have the same regrets an undisciplined person will when nearing their end. Those missed opportunities are not the same as inflicting intentional long term pain, neglect, lack of food or water, lack of shelter, or all out torture. Those who make an animals suffer are the worst type of pet people.

Yep. You're right.

i get what you mean. It's hard to build a connection around a sexual interest without it ALWAYS being sex. it's a real challenge and a balancing act I have yet to figure out myself.

I am pretty guarded when it comes to personal information and things like that. But I love to have open and candid conversation on a range of topics with anyone who is also open and non-judgemental.

That being said I don’t want to meet anyone right now in real, but I like to have a fun connection. Luckily I have made a few here!
