I guess I may be to much old school, but admit I find it amazing that woman in general reply to threads, calling them bitches, perverted, sluts, etc. I can actually consider the term bitch under the content as a term of endearment, but some of the other terms seem disingenuous. I was brought up to have a respect for woman kind, am I off kilter here?
 
I wouldn’t say so it’s definitely kind of bizarre some of the terms that are used both referring to men and women in rather degrading fashions and I get that some people are into degradation but regardless it does seem somewhat disrespectful at times

I had a guy joke that with me. He's not a zoo, but he let me talk to hum about how I feel and supports me.

Anyway he said that the term "pet owner" doesn't fit me, and subsequently made the joke when I asked him what he would consider me that he would consider me a "dog fucker". That wasn't the reason he said pet owner doesn't fit me and eventually said that zoophile really is the best term (because of how much I love animals was the reason that he cited), but it still was funny. I'll always remember one thing in particular he said to me. "Your girl's gonna be in good hands. I'm sure of that!" I still feel the effect of that message he sent me. It's one of the most powerful things in the world to be told that by a non-zoo, especially someone who didn't support zoophiles before but has come to support you. I hope he sees this. He told me (because I told him my username for on here) that he has looked at my profile and my posts before, so I really hope he does again so he can see this.
 
I think it's the intent that matters. It is a slur and I'd prefer not to use them but I do with the people I am comfortable with. My friends and I basically call each other bitches and sluts for various things but we don't mean it in a "derogatory" way. Like one of my friends has my name saved as "absent minded bitch" because I am indeed very forgetful.

In a zoo context, bitch is fine (imo) because it's basically playing into the dynamics. Now the other stuff? That's where intent and context matter more.
