Nervous about check up

Wait at least a day or two, having sexual intercourse 24 hours before a pap smear can cause the vaginal tissue to become inflamed.

Can animal semen show up in a pap smear? I have a doctor appointment this afternoon and was thinking I should cancel it.
I would say give it 48 hours.. not necessarily semen but something else might.. especially rough sex during the physical check

"No special preparation is needed before you have an HPV test. If you are getting a Pap test, you can take steps to make sure the test results are accurate. Avoid intercourse, douching, and using vaginal medicines or spermicidal foam for 2 days before the test. If you had sex before the test, go to the appointment as planned and let the doctor know. If you have your period, don’t worry. Both tests can still be done at this time."

That's a very important test, and you should not cancel. Besides, I think you should be fine because of HIPPA compliance. Look into HIPPA laws if anything.
That's not how HIPAA laws work. They can absolutely tell on you if they suspect you of committing a crime. That said, I don't think they would check to see what kind of semen it is, because that would be a really weird thing to run a lab test on for no reason.

I would wait a few days before your last knot if you're worried. I got knotted then showed up 30 mins later to a pap test. I could not care less lmao

After dog knot, the cervix wall and cervix is sometimes swollen in a way that human penis won't make it, which might raise suspicion. I would say give it even 3 days and make sure that you clean your vagina well and give it a rest (also 0 sex with human). Don't even let a dog lick you because he might leave his hair down there.

noone's gonna bat an eyelid at dog hair in your underpants. hair/fur gets to places easily.

-someone who had dog hair found inside his underpants by a doctor. it led to quite lovely "dog ppl" conversation actually.

What are your grounds for these statements? Why would you say "give it even 3 days"? What's your basis for that measure of time?

That's not what they'd be looking for, and if questioned about whether or not you recently had sex, you could just say "yes." You wouldn't have to mention that it was with a dog. There'd be pretty much no reason for a gynecologists to run a DNA test on the sperm. Especially considering that human sperm and dog sperm look nearly identical to one another, with the tail of the dog sperm only being around 3% longer on average.

Although, simply Googling "is having sex before a pap smear okay" will yield this as the top result: "Avoid intercourse, douching, or using any vaginal medicines or spermicidal foams, creams or jellies for two days before having a Pap smear, as these may wash away or obscure abnormal cells. Try not to schedule a Pap smear during your menstrual period. It's best to avoid this time of your cycle, if possible." So, you shouldn't be having any sex in the first place.

If you're covered by Health insurance, extraneous testing is discouraged by the insurers, unless a doctor has a reasonsble suspicion of some medical need. Dont get physical the day or two before and you should be fine. Once inside you, there's no real visible difference between one seminal fluid and another, your own will combine with anything left over from sex very shortly. It would take a very odd physician to make the jump from
" oh...she had sex Tuesday" to
" OH! she had sex with a DOG on Tuesday!"....Otherwise, Floofy is Correct. I wouldn't worry overly....If you don't trust the Doc to abide by HIPAA, find another Doc. Now.

As the image shows, the docs/lab-techs would have to be trying to notice a fairly small difference - Assuming (s)he swabbed up any sperm cells in the first place. Without having both human and dog sperm in your reproductive tract to compare against each other, and the process picking up BOTH types, distinguishing between them is going to be relatively difficult without extensive comparison effort - The docs/lab-techs are looking for abnormal cervical cells, not sperm cells, so it's *VERY* likely that the presence of sperm (of whatever species) will be noted as being present, but since the question when dealing with a pap smear is "Can we see any abnormal cervical cells?" (which are TOTALLY different in appearance from sperm cells) it's highly unlikely that there will be any comment beyond "Sperm cells were present in the sample." The doctor/lab-tech has only a slight interest in the fact that sperm cells are present at all (mainly as a "this sample was taken from a sexually active female" indicator), and no interest whatsoever whether those sperm cells are normal, or even human - only that they're present.

Get outta my head, Saddle - I've told you it's only zoned for one occupant, and I was here first! :)

There is one state that I know of (I'm not sure where you're from - please don't tell me) that has a law that mandates human+animal sexual contact be prosecuted the same as adult+m***r sexual contact. Meaning, 10 years in prison plus probation and lifetime sex offender status. Don't risk that, please.

I have the state insurance and I don't kow or am familiar with what it covers. It's all good advice and I appreciate it from everyone who answered.

I found that extremely interesting. I never thought abut sperm cells looking different. I mean ot makes sense now that I think about it.

I would agree with this, normal hygiene such as a bath would remove any trace

?

I'm pretty sure a dog loading you up with its cum will leave a trace, after a bath.
Unless you actually stick a hose up there. ?
