The reason why she was having sex with your dog can be more than one:
1) perhaps she has always been a doggy girl and you did not know it?
2) maybe she is not 100% satisfied by you?
3) maybe a simple "not scheduled" dog lick (that frequently happen), got her very horny and made her continue?

Study, read about zoo life a bit, and perhaps take a look at some movie clips, decide if you find this lifestyle acceptable or maybe interesting.

This is a very rare real reason. Having sex with a dog doesn't mean she friend isn't attractive to she.
It's not good to give answers like that because it will make you think that there is something wrong in their relationship. There's probably no problem, it's just that he girlfriend likes to have sex with a dog.
