Mute forum/threads for "what's new" and "latest activity"?

Just curious if there's a way to have certain things that I'm not really interested in to not show up in the "what's new" and "latest activity" items. I'd like to see what's new aside from those. I didn't see anything obvious but I am blonde! :)

You can ignore individual members which removes most of their activity from your view. I consider that functionality more harmful than useful for the person using it though. :D

Lol while there are a couple of toxic people I've noticed... The primary motivation is the "count to 100k" thread. Though I also don't want to wade into the dumpster fire either, no matter how tempting the topic.

But yea the question was less about individuals than uninteresting topics.
 
Considering that uninteresting topics pop up by the dozens daily, even if you could mute them, it would not help much. :D
 
You can block the original poster of a thread to stop seeing the thread, but that won't work for the counting thread as the OP account was deleted long ago (then he came back with a new thread spam account).
