Moved out, at long last.

I've finally gotten my own place. Didn't go quite as I'd hoped but I can't really complain.

Now I've just gotta get another job, lol. Don't quite think that I can provide for myself and a dog (or even get one to begin with) with ~£300 a month.

But I am also terribly inexperienced with money, so that won't be helping me any.

Still happy about things though.

Had an entire message about the situation. Realised that people probably care less about the stupid circumstances behind everything then they do about my moving to begin with.

But it was surprisingly easy in the end actually.

I wasn't even expecting the place to allow pets. But lucky me, I guess.

Everyone will have their own view on how to manage your money, so take it all with a grain of salt...including mine. I've been there. We probably all have. Good place to start is to figure out your monthly income then your unavoidable monthly expenses. Determine how much you NEED a week to pay the bills, feed yourself, put gas in the car etc. You will quickly figure out where you're spending money that you really don't have too. It's hard to change your ways but stick with it. Also, at minimum, take 10% of your income, save it, and forget that it exists.

Good luck. Well done.

First up, congratulations on this first step !
I hope it goes well for you.

There are lots of variations on the money suggestions, but Nawty has a great take on it.

Good luck.
