What do you guys do when you and your parnter pet have a sexually active lifestyle and suddenly appears an appointment to the vet? I am pretty new into this so i'd like to know as much as possible. Also, how to do a proper sexual training with your pet?

If a pet is first trained in obedience (as all pets should be) a trip to the vet or the groomer shouldn’t be an issue, they’re not sex machines

The most important thing is going to be putting yourself through a lot of education about being a good dog owner. You cannot have a healthy relationship with a dog that isn't happy, well cared for, and well-adjusted. When you understand what that looks like, you'll then know your dog well enough to invite them into a sexual relationship. Animals cannot (or in any case, should not) be trained for sex.

If you're worried about your dog exposing you by propositioning you for sex outside of a private setting, then generally speaking, I would say that you shouldn't be. For one thing, you'll very likely establish routines around sexual activity. These happen naturally, as the time you find for sex is subordinate to your schedule anyway. My dogs have never sought sex outside of the contexts in which I would accept sex.

For me and my boys, it's always played out like this: I get off work, I take the dog out. I make sure he gets plenty of the exercise that he enjoys (fetch, a jog, etc.) I make sure he gets some other enrichment too, like the dog park or some light training, or meeting one of the neighbors. Whatever they like. Not only do I like making my dogs happy, but happy dogs are horny dogs. We get home, I let him cool off, and then usually we'll signal to one another.

My first boy knew he was allowed to hump a lil' in private, and if he was interested, he'd let me know. Alternatively, if I reached for my belt- or if we were moving toward our hiding place -he would either bound ahead or bounce around my legs. My second boy knew we always did it on the yoga mat after his workout, so he would either try to lead me there, or he would wait for me to fetch it out from under the dresser. Sometimes he'd even drag it out himself.

Now imagine they're not having playtime, but they're going to the vet. You think they're thinking about sex? Nah, they're just thinking about how bad they don't want to go to the vet! ? Even if it happens, even if your dog humps your leg like he paid it for an hour, nobody's really going to assume you're in a relationship with your dog. They're just going to laugh at you and your embarrassing situation and move on with their lives.

Oh, thank you. I am pretty new to this, and also don't have any pets yet, but i want to gather the most possible information so i don't do amythjng wrong

Veterinarian here.

Almost all vets would not bother checking your dog's penis or your bitch's vagina/vulva closely unless you specifically say there is something going on with that area and wanting your vet to have a genitalia examination. There is no reason for any vet to check out your doggo's genitalia unless you say something about it.

Even though let's say for instance you creampied your girl and she happens to require a vet visit shortly after, your semen would have liquified enough in her vagina tract and thinned out to appear like water/urine near the entrance of her vulva by 30 to 45minutes (speaking by my own experience). This does not raise any vet's suspicions; it will not raise my suspicion if I happen to see a wet and moist vulva on a bitch when I am consulting and examining her.
If you are still worried, wipe her vulva dry (in the vet clinic carpark) before you enter the clinic.

If your vet request to take samples from her vaginal tract/vulva for whatever reason, you can just politely decline. Your vet cannot force you to perform diagnostics without your consent/permission. You could take your girl in for the examination or vaginal sampling or diagnostics another day if you require her genitalia checked.

As a vet examining your male dog, I would not be able to know myself if you have recently made your boy ejaculate or penetrated you.

Thank you so much for this. It explains a lot. I don't want to do anything wrong when i have a pet in the future so i need to learn more. Again, thank you for explaining it to me

That's a good instinct! Your head is in the right place. My advice is to learn about twice as much as you think you need about dogs and their psychology. If you have the time, maybe even consider donating it to a rescue. You'll learn a lot.

Fortunately, these days we have luxuries like high quality YouTube videos made by professionals. Just be a little careful about who you listen to, and you're going to do great. Best of luck!?
