Most secure way to save videos?

So I'd like to save some videos from here but how do I make sure its properly hidden? Separate flash drive? encrypted file? I have horrible flashbacks to the one time I took my mac to the store as a teenager cuz it had to be fixed. the "genius" hooked it up to his monitor and all my files and pics started popping up!? No zoo on my laptop then but plenty of gay/yaoi porn lol

So basically i'm trying to avoid a much more disastrous repeat of that.

Any info helps!

P.s. I just use chrome incognito and a vpn when I come here, is that good enough or?

Or use Tor. :D Go watch a few security videos explaining what a commercial vpn is actually good for and how that mostly is not privacy of this kind.

VeraCrypt encrypted container.

VeraCrypt encrypted container.
Absolutely VeraCrypt or a simliar encrypted contained, maybe even a totally encrypted external drive. Make sure your password for the container/drive also follows good practices - using a password manager to generate my passwords has been one of the best decisions for my security ever.

A third the opinion of veracrypt. It isn't the only way to encrypt files and drives but it is by far the most reliable and "straightforward" that I've seen.

Rant: I say "straightforward" in quotes because I mean something specific that isn't quite captured by that word. It is no less secure (encryption wise) than what the NSA might be using but it doesn't create complexity where none needs to exist. The key is the password, the password is the key. You can have "virtual drives" from a file or real drives and veracrypt (where so many others fail) treats them the same.

Having cyber security you don't understand is worse than having no cybersecurity because it's a false sense of security. You are storing files, you don't want that bound to a particular operating system, OS user, certificate store, or what not. None of it really gets around the core issue. You are not safer having some giant keyfile if the keyfile is protected by an unencrypted OS with a guessable password anymore than using that guessable password for the key.

Having a large encrypted container is suspicious on it's own even if an adversary can not guess or get the password. So I advocate for having no porn on your devices at all. Since it is all available online anyway.

It's not always available online, sometimes entire sites disappear overnight; especially with unusual interests. He wouldn't be asking if he felt comfortable with always finding stuff online again and he's not alone. Moreover a big encyrpted file is definitely suspicious but unless you live in CCP or Russia you have to already be under major suspicion to have your hard drive forcibly examined.
