This Mayhem cover has a story.
The picture is of their singer, nicknamed Dead, shortly after he killed himself with a rifle. He was later found in this exact state by guitarist Euronimus (2 years later killed by Varg Vickernes) and drummer HellHammer. The two, before calling the police, had a photo session with Dead's bloody corpse.
So, all that nastiness in the picture is real.

Love hard rock and metal. On the metal side, Metallica, Slipknot, Pantera are all-time favs. But love 80s hard rock. Van Halen, of course, but never really consider them metal.
