In my opinion we want nothing to do with LGBT. Let alone that they do not want us anyway.
But on the flip side I seriously doubt the alphabet folks want us there anyways. Let them have their thing, don't go poking shit and we can all be happy.

I don't want zoophilia on LGBT. And even if the Z were included, the average person would still find it disgusting. The laws would not change either.

The Alphabet people have there community!
We Are "Z" Were off by ourselves doing our own thing.
We don't need them and they Don't want us!
We are "Z" Watching out for our own community and protecting our own kind.

And I love when the "Z" shoots the red lazer. It's like saying to me, We will protect our own and we don't take No Shit from the rest of the world.

Personally, I think light shined here is the absolute last thing this needs, now, or ever.
Added to that, as has been mentioned, the alphabet folks don't want this association either and that should wrap this entire concept up and put it to bed. And, I wish it would.
Another aspect is that the alphabet folks also currently have their own mess dealing with the social blowback from the tiny minority of screaming idiots who make up the tiniest portion of their last letter addition. What the LBQ group spent decades building is now rolling backwards at what is a pretty alarming rate. So, even if they wanted association with our "kind", we are the last thing they need to add to their already sprawling issues socially.

been thinking lately about how everything we conceive about romantic and sexual relationships is based in humans relating with humans, right? Trying to adapt what sexuality means in society doesn't really work for zoos in my mind. I feel it should be a separate from LGBT because we have to understand ourselves in different terms
LGBT lies in the human construct, we establish ourselves as identifying or being attracted to a specific gender, the animal kingdom doesn't establish such barriers, there are many animals that engage in homosecual behavior but that does not preclude them from then interacting with females, a dolphin may be masturbating in the blowhole of another male dolphin one day but becoming a successful father the next

feels like this is probably the main reason why so many also go "it's not cheating if it's with animal". which is extra weird when it comes from a zoo, a person who probably realizes romantic and sexual relationships outside of own species not only exist but work.

I do think those types of relationships exist and work and also I think cheating as a concept doesn't really make sense in inter-species contexts
