To the people that are see this I was going through YouTube and (this is probably old new but still) there are furry who came out on her YouTube as a zoo and the comments are so hate for an now there people say we’re disgusting and it’s kinda get to me idk what to do why dose Society hate us we’re not disgusting and there people in the comments say that any zoo needs mental heath and tell the person to kill them self. Idk I feel terrible

Furry/online culture thrives on interaction. Interaction involves attention. Positive attention is a gamble but negative attention is guaranteed interaction.
Furries see Zoos as a threat, since Furries had to shake that label in order to be accepted. Think about it- an extremely sex-positive subculture where everyone's an animal? Of COURSE all Furries are Zoo! It's a bad look, brought negative attention, and caused Furries some unwarranted harassment. Furries would rather purge Zoos and suspected Zoos than bother with nuance.

If it's any consolation, the comments you're seeing represent a minority. A vocal, yet small, minority. The people spamming and screaming about mental health and such do that for anything they disagree with.

Furries aren't perfect, they're full of degenerates and perverts and predators and creeps. But so do Zoos. And both subcultures have oodles of terrific and well-adjusted people.

I believe i know who you are talking about. Hypynostist sappho. I may have spelt that wrong. Sorry if i did. But i mean. Personally despite being a zoo myself and honestly prefering animal parnters over human. Shes not the best example. It came out recently she's also a MAP(minor attracted person aka pedophile). Im fully against anyone attracted to kids... I may be the odd one out when saying that or not understanding it. But society tends to group zoos and pedos under the same umbrella and unfortunately she falls into that. Despite my personal feelings and how i do not like her for being a pedo. I do respect and realize how she came out. Its pretty decent honestly. Yes there was a HUGE backlash. But it's not that bad.... it's not as bad as it has been against others. Its been tame when you look at the history and not only that but she's continued her career as a stremer and continued to be successful. I am Personally fully against her. Idc if shes a zoo and does that the right way. A kid is different. Maybe im the weird one for saying that and it's complicated to explain but yeah fuck that. Not okay for her to get with kids

They DEFINITELY swept the MAP thing under the rug just to harp on Zoos. Furries can create a logical distance between themselves and pedos (even though pedo/MAPs/grooming is just as big of a problem with Furries) but Zoos are too close to them.

It's more complicated than that. Furry fandom has problems, online Zoos have problems, it's not a perfect split between good and bad. I joined both subcultures around the same time, and we're not that different. Furries got their foot in the door towards public acceptance and will NOT let something like zoophilia (which is a felony under US law) tarnish their 'good name'.

I know but… it’s different when you been called that for year no body no one I’m a zoo but people….. are cruel when your a kid
