I’ve been really tempted to have sex with my dog but she is spayed. Is it safe to penetrate? If not, what could I do?
It probably is not safe. Depending on when it happened she is going to be very tight and who knows how much of it has sealed up in there after the surgery. You could hurt her a lot. Besides the PURPOSE of castration is the REMOVAL of sexual behavior. She is not going to be interested or her interest will decrease significantly over time. Why do you think zoos do not castrate their animals?I’ve been really tempted to have sex with my dog but she is spayed. Is it safe to penetrate? If not, what could I do?
What if they do take the cervix? And how do you ask if they do?Depends on how she was spayed. In a traditional spay, the ovaries, uterus, and cervix is removed and the tissue shrinks dramatically after it heals. You can cause serious damage by trying to have sex with a bitch who has had a full spay, except maybe with giant breed bitches if you have a smaller than average size penis. If the bitch had an ovary-sparing spay, however, you may be able to have sex normally after surgery. OSSd bitches keep their hormones and still have heats, and depending on the vet might retain their cervix as well. If the cervix is intact and healed (about 6 wks after surgery), you should be able to have sex as if they were a fully intact bitch without causing damage.
I do plan on talking to the vet about the options. Either way I'm just kind of entertaining the idea of an OSS after my girl has pups. But I won't do a fullWith traditional spay, it is always removed. If you wish to have an OSS, I would tell the vet you only want the uterus removed because you are worried about a small risk of an intact male breeding with her. I have a Boerboel bitch at home that had a full spay done. She tightened up a lot, but still can handle me and my mate just fine and seems to quite enjoy it.
Hi Foxinsox15, I'm new here and I'd like to talk with you, if possible, in private. With traditional spay, it is always removed.
