Hey there, everyone!

I'm Ebony—though I've been around the forum since February, it dawned on me that I've never officially introduced myself. So, here it goes!

I'm new to this space but definitely not new to the lifestyle. Academically, I'm a scientist by profession, and my work (and sense of adventure) has taken me across the globe, with time spent in Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean for research and pleasure.

I'm currently based in the Pittsburgh region and looking to connect with like-minded folks who share an interest in all things forum-related—and possibly beyond—if the connection feels right.

As a Black woman in the lifestyle, I'm particularly interested in connecting with other Afro/Black individuals here. It's no secret that we're underrepresented or not always comfortable expressing our interests openly. With that said, I'm here to connect and share experiences with everyone as best I can and look forward to engaging in witty, meaningful, and pleasurable conversations with you all.

Thanks to everyone for making this space welcoming. Can't wait to dive in and see where the journey leads!

Cheers,
Ebony

Hello Ebony, nice to have you here in the forum, I got to admit your introduction caught my eye pretty hard, a scientist with a sense of adventure? I might have just drooled on myself about tbh, I'd be more than happy to talk if you are interested in making friends with a slightly weird but very friendly Aussie

Thank you for the warm welcome! I’m glad my introduction caught your eye. I’d definitely be happy to chat and make a potentially new friend. Feel free to reach out anytime—I’m always up for good conversations.

Awesome, I hit follow on your profile but that doesn't actually do anything really except let you know that someone noticed you and make it all feels a bit stalky I guess but I'll send a message request as soon as you have privileges for sure, I I'm definitely not a scientist or even that well educated but I love a good conversation with intelligent people if I can find it

Welcome to ZV Ebony! Also new myself, and always up for conversation!

If youve been here since February, you probably know, but.... Welcome to the Chickee, miss...Youll find a lot of good info, and some good people here...not everything is informative, not all users are trustworthy, though some are. The harmless ones are here to yank the crank, but there are also those with dangerous ideas and bad intent. Please
use your head. And the Mods ARE your friends. Glad you made it.

Thank you! Yes, you're right, I've come across some great conversations in the varying threads and some definite red flags/warning signs of things not to do, posters to be mindful of. I appreciate the heads up and information. One of the perks of observing is being able to hash out the good, the bad and the Mod headaches lol. Again though, I really really appreciate you for this. It's so important to realize everybody here doesn't have the best intentions.
