Intact male dogs at the dog park

I was at a dog park last week and saw 4 male dogs that were intact. I was shocked. There were two dogs that were obviously brothers, and that intrigued me. They were running all over and I never saw their human for sure. When I was leaving, I saw an older lady giving them attention. Needless to say, I'd like to talk with her. I couldn't at that moment, though.

Five or ten years ago where I live, you would catch a lot of shit for having an intact male. Times are changing for the better.

maybe it's the place i live in never being really big on mutilation, but i don't really see what's so exciting about seeing non-mutilated dogs... or why would you want to talk to someone just because their dogs aren't mutilated.

with that said, i am glad things seem to change for the better where you live. maybe one day "just chop them up for convenience" won't be the norm in dog keeping in some places.....

I think with the bigger focus on animal rights these days people are more sceptical around neutering, from experience women are still generally for it but most men relate to male dogs and are against it.

This actually happened to me last year and it was the creepiest thing.
We crossed pathes with an older woman and got talking, somehow the conversation changed and she commented on how big my boy's balls were, and then went on to list every male dogs she's know and how large their balls were ?

I could imagine it being either a giveaway, or it could've been odd.

Although I imagine it would have been a little odd to talk about dog testes for a while. I would've had ideas if I were you... How old was this woman? (And remember kids, if your gut says something is off, RUN!)

That, and the absolutely rapey, stabby, horseshit prices that assholes charge for dogs, any, random dog mind you, not pure blood champion dogs, but prices reflecting a long history of champions and breeding lines all the way back to Moses.

The great bob barker and his acolytes mostly eliminated the dog population at large in this country. Not saying dogs should run wild as the used to do, but I'm thinking actually having dogs available as pets in general, without a car price, is a desired thing for a lot of people.

I'm gay with humans so she was knocking at the wrong door, but just for your imagination she was a late 50's hiker/country lady, quite good looking if I was into milf's/gilf's, pretty eccentric with a slightly posh British accent ?
It only occured to me after that my boy didn't show himself off, and we met walking in opposite directions ?

Well, where I live, mutilating dogs is the norm. I was at dog parks at least once per week 5-20 years ago, and would see a few intact dogs over the course of a year. I caught a lot of shit for having an intact dog. Some parks even banned them. I was in a very unpopular circumstance for 11 years.

I was walking my boy early in the morning in the park (not a dog park) near my house. He was on leash, as my dogs always are when outside a dog park. This woman had 2 dogs off-leash and they were running all over. They ran up to us, and my dog let them know they weren't welcome. The woman came up, saw my dog was intact and started into a rant. She looked at me like I was a monster. It was super creepy. I reminded her that I wasn't breaking any laws, and that she was. She left in an absolute huff. It still pisses me off.

As far a the woman I mention in my original post, after some small talk, I would like to ask her about her decision not to neuter. So, yes, I would like to talk to people who don't mutilate their dogs.
