In this day and age do people realtime audio or video chat? Sometihng like Omegle, but for this site?

So what do people use with people they trust? Skype? Google Hangouts? I hear about telegram.

I've talked about dogs on Omegle before. But I've also gotten the heebie-jeebies, when when I felt things were "too good to be true". I'm pretty sure it was some kind of set up.
