I haven't encountered CP as of yet myself. But I have seen 1 VERY abusive video in my 11 days of moderating so far. I've spoken with other current and former mods before and indeed it is the worst aspect of the job according to them as well. But someone has to do it, and it might as well be someone who genuinely loves their animals with a passion.

Well said, and I couldn't agree more. And congratulations on being staff now :)
Its also a hard habit to break. Having the experiences I have, I still tend to 'police' the media sections, despite only being able to report it when I find such nasty vids.

Thanks! Also yes, please report any abusive porn, not just you, but anyone who watches porn on a regular basis. I also had to scour and report before I got my mod wings as well. I've reported a handful of videos and sometimes it took 1-5 hours, but I was always happy that abusive content was stricken from the forum. As that's not the face we want to display here.
 
I stay far away from the dark side of the internet. There are only about two or three sites that seem to be virus-free and 100% legal. Be safe out there while you're surfing.
 
In my humble opinion, the real horror is in the atrocities that are legal and accepted—yet only few want to look at it from a close distance. Examples include the meat industry, many allegedly just wars, the destruction of habitats, sanctions that hurt the people instead of a regime.

For example, as of today, it is legal to castrate male pigs without anesthesia in my home country of Germany and many other nations. The poor piglet is cut open and his testicles are ripped out at full consciousness.

Wouldn't a video of this procedure be classified as highly abusive here? Vicious zoosadistic shit, if someone liked that? But this has happened millions of times every year during each year of your lives. It is absolutely normal in our societies to do that. We just don't talk about it. Enjoy your bacon.

i dont eat bacon but this is horrible practice yet dont know why people say "yes this is a good idea" and mutilate them without any meds to take away the pain.
