Ironicaly I mostly all ready have it, trying to move into it full time, sheep farming. I can say they are smarter then 90% of the people I meet when I have to go shopping, all so why I loath leaving the farm.
Oh I agree. Animals are definitely more intelligent than the vast majority of people. I hope the sheep are treated well & with respect. I've seen too many videos that show its not the case.

why I started to raise my own meat, just because they are food doesn't mean they do not deserve love and respect, all ways try to spend an hour a day with them giving them pets and scratches and cuddles. One loves scratches between her shoulders she grooms you back and rubs, and under her chin rubbed.
try to make every thing stress free and happy for em from start to finish.
You love them, petting etc & they love you. You show this love by having them chopped up!!
I better not allow you to love me if that's what happens lol.

that is why they exist, sad fact of life for one to live another must die, it is those whom allow them to become devoid of all thought in doing what is necessary is what leads tot he industrial cruelty we see in factory farms. and technically it is the lambs that get chopped up, a good mother is high value.
Breeding stock is high investment, the lambs you keep professional distance from, kind and caring but well, I name them based on their future, Lamb chop, roast, spit roast, salvakie, Jerky, sausage.
I don't eat meat! Well I eat fish & chicken but no other animal.

Chicken is tasty too, but red meat is what seems my body needs, any thing less and well things start to go bad fast physiologically.
Yeah I don't eat red meat. I've always wondered why, Gorillas are so big by just eating leafs.

Body uses least energy, brain uses most energy, all so look how slow they move on average. So specialized adaptions allow for it. For use we are Omnivorous, but still we differ some need more meats, some can do well vegetarian, some need both equal.
This is why medicine is so much a hard field, what will help me may be poison to another!

And Gorillas and chimps also have huge secums in their digestive track to process all that fiber into something they can absorb. Our secums atrophied as we adapted to eating mostly meat and all thats left is a finger sized organ called an appendix. Also, they commonly eat their own waste to get the B vitamins that were passed the first go round. NO THANX!! I'll stick to my ribeye's...
