One thing that may help you in your success here is to make your profile unique. Assign yourself an avatar by changing your default profile picture and writing a slight "about" in the about section. This not only makes you stand out from the thousands of other "default" profiles, but also gives people a chance to learn a little more about you before deciding to reach out. I think the introduction you made here would do well for that, as an example. Good luck!
