How would a blocked person see the blocker?

Do both parties dissappear from each others view? How would the blocked person know they are blocked and not just ignored?
 
Pretty sure it does nothing to the blockee except prevent them from PMing you. They can still see everything you post, you just don't have to see their stupidity unless you hit the "show ignored content" button.

Would they know they are ignored though? Or is that hidden from the blocked individual

Not that I noticed. Had an idiot say he ignored me like a month ago shortly before he had his account deleted and I saw no change in the thread.

On SoFurry you can tell someone has you blocked because the comment box is missing from their profile page. So maybe something like that would be a tell tale here, it just depends on the forum structure.

Dang it my paranoia is kicking in.
 
Where do you see blocking? There's no blocking, only ignoring, and to my knowledge, the ignored person has no indication they are being ignored.

Blocking would completely prevent you from receiving a PM from the blocked person. Ignoring: I once received a PM notification of a PM from someone I ignored that said (to this effect) "You are ignoring this person. View it?" In so many words. I think it also gave the person's name, but I don't recall. It was a long time ago.
If it's a comment or reply from an ignored person, it says, "You are ignoring this person. Would you like to view it?" (wording approx.)
Ignoring doesn't do much.

oh so your saying that it warns you that person is on that list. thats still a good system
