How to start ?

So I want to get a mare eventually but how would I start out. I have no experiences with horses besides when i was younger at fairs/petting zoos. What are some things to look out for and things to expect and are they hard to train?

If you're coming to a Zoophilia forum asking these types of questions, I'm of the strong opinion you shouldn't be considering even touching an equine.
They're not like a dog, or a cat. They are incredibly expensive animals who have very expensive needs that must be consistently met for their welfare. This is the kind of crap that makes people with genuine connections to their equines look bad.

Start out with what?
Because it looks like you would need to start with learning how to have a horse in the first place.
So maybe get a part time job on a farm to get some experience, get some horse keeping literature, find a horse keeping forum and ask beginner questions there. This place is not the best to learn how to keep a horse.
