How to solve the issue of altered movies

I've been batting an idea around in my head on solving the issue of 'altered' movies to share as new video. I've seen a lot of clips that have stripped out the title page and cropped the clip down to just the 'money' shot... So, has anyone considered ways to identify if a clip is part of a copyrighted video ? And I know there are facial recognition packages (I've seen them in Immich and PhotoPrism) so I wonder if we could set up an 'actress validation' where the person in a clip can be checked if the face matches a known copyrighted video? And for small clips, maybe a way to compare the clip against hashes of copyrighted videos?
I haven't been around so long as to recognize whether a clip is actually new or just some cropped video.

Thoughts?

Copyright doesnt mean much in porn, bud, and the nastier the mundanes think it is, the less they will worry about enforcing copyright law.

As to who clipped what from where, there is no data base that keeps track of this stuff. Collectors may well know where given footage originated, but its not likely they see everything thats done to that footage

There are de-duplication tools that can be used to determine if a video is a duplicate or segment of another video. Depending on the tool, duplicated segments can be identified even when the source quality of the video varies. However, this would be within your own collection of videos since you would not have a library of frame variance hashes to compare against.

There are entire databases of data related to pornographic videos, such as StashDB, with information that can be used to determine if a video is part of a known video and identify the performers, studio, etc.
